The Contest 42CS was introduced in 2013 and by just seeing the first drawings and knowing the craftsman ship of the Dutch, family owned, yard, the first yachts where sold! This immediate success was followed by her election for "European Yacht of the Year" of 2013/2014 Luxury Cruiser class. "Sophie" is a young, well-maintained Contest 42CS with a 3 cabin layout. She has been fitted with a slab reefing mainsail and is designed to be sailed shorthanded. Sophie has been delivered in 2019, but due to the pandemic the owner started using her only from 2021 till now. This Contest made voyages to England, Norway and the Baltic. Please note that the VAT has been paid in the UK and this brochure is preliminary.

Construction is to the highest Dutch standards with each yacht combining hand finished craftsmanship with modern technologies including five-axis CNC cutting, vacuum resin infusion of balsa cored composite hulls and vacuum bonding of teak decks. Combined, this assures accuracy, consistency and optimised integrity for a stronger, lighter, more durable yacht.
