The Westerly 33 sloop is a well built, centre cockpit with separate aft cabin, offshore cruiser. They are easy to handle in all weathers and are well known for their sea kindly motion in a seaway. This fin keeled version had a professional epoxy treatment in 2016, a comprehensive inventory including central heating.

Mechanical & Electrical Systems
Located behind the companionway, 1979 Mercedes OM636 four cylinder 42hp diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to fixed pitch three bladed propeller. New gear box in 2014. Approximately 130 litres fuel capacity.. Single lever control. Fuel tank removed and refurbished in 2015. Last serviced in 2017 by owner, when last used. Hours run unknown. Various spares available including a prop shaft and a complete engine to break for spares.

Mast, Rigging & Contruction
Built in 1979 by Westerly Yachts to a design by Laurent Giles & Partners. White gel GRP hull with style stripes. Teak rubbing strakes. White GRP superstructure with grey painted non-slip decks and teak slats in the cockpit. Cast iron fin keel. Skeg hung rudder. Wheel steering. Centre self draining cockpit. Hull professionally epoxied in 2016.
Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom by Proctor, 1979. Stainless steel standing rigging (2008). Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks to stackpack. Rotostay headsail furling system. Lewmar primary, secondary and halyard winches (5 in total). Alloy spinnaker pole.
