Katuna is a marvellous example of the popular Hunter Pilot 27. She is FULLY equipped with all cruising equipment and has been well maintained. Her bilge keels are ideal for the East Coast, self tacking jib and all control lines led aft to the cockpit makes her a breeze to sail, plus her centrally heated saloon with inside steering position gives her all year capability. Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Located under the companionway steps. 1998, Nanni 2.5 HE, 14 hp marine diesel engine. Fresh water cooled. Shaft drive to 2 bladed fixed propeller. Stainless steel fuel tank. Two single lever engine controls (inside and out). The engine appears in good visual condition - hours are unknown.

Two 12V batteries in two banks charging via engine alternator and 240V shore power charger. 240V shore power with sockets and immersion heater.

SAILS AND RIGGING: Fractional Bermudan sloop rig. Silver anodised aluminium mast and boom by Z Spars, 1998. Stainless steel standing rigging, 2016 with backstay tensioner. Terylene running rigging led aft to the cockpit, 2013. Slab reefing to mainsail. Plastimo 608-s headsail furling system. Self tacking jib track. Slab reefing to mainsail with lazyjacks. Sheet and halyard winches. Masthead Hawk wind indicator.

Construction:

Moulded by Hunter Boats Ltd, Essex in 1998. White grp hull with rubber rubbing strakes. Hull Coppercoated in 2020. Cast iron twin bilge keels. White grp coachroof with moulded non skid decks. Self draining cockpit and anchor well. Tiller steering in cockpit and interior wheel steering, both to transom hung rudder. Stainless steel safety rails. Teak coachroof hand rails.
