The Hunter Passage 42 designed and built by Hunter Marine in the United States is a sloop rigged centre cockpit cruising boat that is comfortable to live-a-board without sacrificing on cruising performance. All lines lead aft to the cockpit for easy sail handling. The sugar scoop with transom steps make getting in and out of the dinghy and sea, easy. Below the master state room has centre line queen sized bed with en-suite head with shower and mini tub. The forward guest cabin has a decent sized double bed with dual access from saloon and cabin to the guest heads and shower. Topside, deck and hull painted - NEW Oct 2023. Accommodations
The layout offers up to 4 berths in 2 cabins + saloon. There is full 6'5" standing headroom and good ventilation throughout.
Starting forward is the private guest stateroom which contains a large V berth, anchor locker access, seats either side of bed and top opening hatch. Ensuite head and shower cubical lie to starboard. Continuing aft, the main salon has a starboard settee and wrap around port settee. The dining table seats 4 to 6.
Continuing aft to starboard is the U-shaped galley with ample counter space, storage shelves, and drawers. Double ss sinks, two burner hob and oven, a refrigerator and freezer. Opposite to port is the well-appointed nav station and communication equipment. The walk through to the owners stateroom aft has a large work counter w/ drawers outboard and provides easy access to the engine room. The master stateroom aft is light and airy with a centreline queen berth and contains an ensuite head with shower.
Mechanical Systems
The Yanmar 4JH2-TE 62 HP diesel engine with Kanzaki KBW 20 transmission drives a 3 bladed brass prop (New 2023). Eng hrs 2687. Onan 8Kw generator.
