It is with a mixture of happiness and sadness that we bring this Cobra 850 to the market - in our opinion a superb starter boat for those with serious cruising aspirations or for those who recognise that simplicity and quality are often the key to great enjoyment at sea. The boat is especially well suited to our area and we feel her coming on the market represents a great opportunity.
We are happy to be offering this boat because we think she is a great design, offering amazing accomodation and good performance at a relatively compact and easy to manage size - and has been well maintained and is well presented. We are sad because her owners are a very popular couple among the local sailing community who have had huge pleasure cruising this boat around the Irish Sea but have decided that the time has come to hang up their sailing boots.
The bilge (twin) keels and relatively shallow draft are well suited to our shallow and often drying coastline.
At only 28'6 the feeling of space above and below decks is remarkable. There is excellent standing headroom in the saloon and generous sized berths. She is well equipped and is a proper passage making yacht.
