Hull number 2 of the Judel Vrolijk Baltic 56 semi-custom performance blue water cruisers. Single cockpit cruising layout with extremely versatile 4 cabin internal layout and benefitting from extensive refit and upgrades over recent seasons.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
‘STELL’ is hull No.2 in the Judel/Vrolijk & Co. designed Baltic 56 performance bluewater cruiser semi-series. With 6 hulls launched between 2005 and 2007 and with layouts ranging from the radical Canting Keel daysailer ‘BIONIC ELK’ to the raised saloon ‘TI-COYO’, the Baltic 56 hull was well proven across all disciplines, but particularly adept at fast, comfortable offshore sailing thanks to her lightweight, stiff and very strong advanced composite construction.
Originally delivered in 2005 to a German owner and named ‘LAETITIA’, she was cruised and raced with great success before being sold to her second Italian owner in 2010. Renamed ‘MORGANA CUBE’, she spent the next 9 years of her life based in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, mainly stored ashore and under cover, and being launched each summer for relaxed family cruises across the Adriatic to Slovenia and Croatia. Following an extensive 2017/18 refit, she was then sold by Baltic Yachts specialists Grabau International to her current Scandinavian owner who named her ‘STELL’ and transported her by road to the Yxpila Boat Yard in Kokkola, Finland for a further substantial refit. Yxpila is well known as a Swan and Baltic Yachts centre for refit, service and repair, and during the time STELL spent there, she was transformed into a striking silver-hulled, variable-draft performance cruiser with all new systems, upgraded rig and a beautifully remodelled owner’s forward cabin interior layout. With a significant amount invested in her since purchase, STELL is arguably one of the very finest examples of her type.
Swedish-flagged, EU VAT paid and now very conveniently located centrally in the South of France, STELL is offered for sale as her owner wishes to go larger.

MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:
No. 2 of the Baltic 56's had a layout and concept that was closer to the basic 56 design. Nevertheless the Baltic 56-02 was still very unique in its own way. The basic concepts as well as the deck and interior layouts were tailor made to suite this particular owner and his family. The owner intends to use the yacht mainly for family sailing with a few fun races in between.
In order to compensate the weight increase for some of the cruising equipment, a high-technology weight saving construction was used in the hull and deck laminates, as well as in the construction of the interior. Both the hull and the deck laminates were constructed using a Carbon Epoxy with the Epoxy being vacuum injected. In order to achieve a very high fibre ratio the Epoxy was injected with a fairly slow speed and under very high vacuum.
