Additional Information

  • Heads & showers - complete redesign by owner and his build team; believe adopted now on all Bluewater 56’s. Best heads in a yacht in this class.
  • Bow - anchor roller - original design has the steel plate thickness under-spec’d. Also the geometry was wrong. BAREFOOT´s owner had this completely redesigned and a new bow fabricated at Nautor´s Swan Global Service. Toe rail in the bow area was also eliminated to improve docking/lines handling.
  • Inner-stay chainplate - under spec’d in design; mistake caught by owner’s team during build and rectified.
  • Galley layout - more logical; added induction, added triple-wide SS sink.
  • Aft heads’ sink does not drain properly due to a design flaw. Nautor’s Swan re-engineered the plumbing, installing pumps, grey water box, etc.
  • Installed grey water boxes with float switches, installed and upgraded additional pumps throughout to fix the grey water system on the boat.
  • Black water system originally installed without proper ventilation and hoses incorrectly spec´d.
  • Keel collects water at certain points - owner installed an additional “micro” bilge pumps system to deal with this and to keep the bilges “bone dry”.
  • Air conditioning vent system - owner redesigned this to improve salon aesthetics and airflow.
  • Electrical system - Yacht delivered with numerous electrical system design problems. Nautor’s Swan changed and fixed numerous issues, especially with charging of the forward bank.
  • The above are savings of 1-2 years’ hassle and $50-100k if you take delivery of a new Bluewater 56.
