The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 24.2 is well worth considering as a small family cruiser. Decent sailing performance and there is a surprising amount of room in the open plan saloon with galley, an aft double berth, separate head and standing headroom.

Construction

GRP construction with swing keel (0.65m to 1.10m draft), transom hung rudder with tiller steering. A new set of companionway washboards have been made and will be supplied with the boat. A set of beaching legs and a sprayhood frame are also included.

Mechanicals, rigging and sails

Powered by a Yanmar 1GM10 9hp inboard diesel with shaft driven, 2 bladed propeller. Engine will be serviced before sale. A single 12v battery provides engine start and service power. Webasto diesel cabin heating fitted.

Rigging and Sails

Fractional rigged Bermudan Sloop with deck stepped alloy mast and spars. Stainless wire standing rigging with adjustable back stay. Slab reefing Mainsail with Lazy Jack bag and a roller furling Jib. Both sails are by Technique voile and are said to be in "good condition".

Accommodation and inventory

Accommodation for 4 / 5 in an open plan saloon with a separate aft double berth. Galley to port with sink, and 2 burner hob and grill. Central dining table with keel lift built in. Chart table with electronics to starboard. Separate head with chemical loo. Webasto cabin heating.
