1998 Hardy Seawings 314 Elegance, for sale in Kent.
This Hardy Seawings 314 Elegance is a sports cruiser of exceptional quality that is ideal for coastal adventures, channel crossings, or river cruises. The vessel boasts a large cockpit and offers good accommodation with six berths in two cabins. This vessel is currently lying at Gillingham Marina where a berth is available. The owner is looking to sell the boat, as they are looking to move away and retire from boating.
Accommodation :
The Hardy Seawings 314 Elegance offers six berths across two cabins and the cockpit area. The aft cabin includes a double berth, a hanging locker, drawers and shelving area. and a large opening porthole facing the cockpit. The saloon features a U-shaped settee surrounding a large central table. This table can be lowered to convert into a double berth. Storage shelves are situated around the settee, with additional under seat storage space. The saloon offers approximately 6 feet of headroom.
The galley is situated on the port side and features, a single stainless-steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, a three-burner gas hob with an oven and grill, a 12V refrigerator, and ample storage space for cutlery and provisions.
The pressurized hot and cold water system is heated by either a 240V immersion heater or a via calorifier tank connected to the engines. The Seawings 314 Elegance has a freshwater capacity of 267 litres.
Opposite the galley on the starboard side is the Heads which includes a stainless-steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water and shower attachment, a marine toilet with a 280-litre holding tank new 2018, and a storage cupboard. This Seawings 314 Elegance also features an Eberspacher diesel cabin heating system with outlets in both the saloon and aft cabin.
The companionway offers vessel control switches and leads up to a large aft cockpit. Positioned on the starboard side is the double helm seat equipped with full engine controls and operational navigation aids. Directly behind the helm position lies a booth layout, featuring rear, port and forward-facing seating with under-seat storage and extending table that converts to a double berth.
Located on the port side is a small cockpit galley, featuring a small sink with pressurized hot and cold water and fridge switchable from 12 - Volt and 240V shore power.
The transom door grants access to the bathing platform with hand held shower and boarding ladder. This bathing platform grants easy access to side decks which makes moving forward to the foredeck very easy.

History and Construction: Constructed by Hardy in August 1998, this vessel boasts a white GRP hull and decks, featuring moulded-in non-slip surfaces.
It is equipped with wheel steering, anodized aluminium toe rails, stainless steel stanchions, and pulpit.
The vessel also includes a glass windscreen with a chrome surround, a walk-through transom gate leading to the bathing platform, and teak battens on the bathing platform. Additionally, it has a self-draining cockpit.
The vessel was last out of the water in 2023, where the engines and stern drives were serviced, the bellows were replaced, her anodes changed, antifouled and her hull polished.
The owner is reluctantly parting with the boat due to moving to another area.

This Hardy Seawings 314 Elegance is powered by twin Volvo Penta KAD32P, 170HP turbocharged diesel engines, with sterndrives each equipped with twin four-bladed propellers. The stern drives were serviced and the bellows were replaced in 2023.
These engines are fresh water and seawater-cooled and were last serviced by Gillingham Marina in 2023. The engines are supplied by a 525-litre stainless steel fuel tank.
This Hardy Seawings 314 Elegance has a cruising speed of approximately 20 knots and can reach a top speed of 30 knots, the boat is also equipped with trim tabs and stern drive trimming.
These engines have completed approximately 1200 hours, and this boat will use approximately 50 litres per hour.
Electrical Systems:
This sports cruiser has a total of 3 x 125AH 12-volt batteries, 2 x engine batteries age unknown, and 1 x domestic replaced in 2018. These batteries are charged both by the alternator and a battery charger.
The boat also benefits from a 240V shore power ring main powering the water immersion, battery charger and 13 amp sockets and lighting in the forward and aft cabins.
Managing the 12V system is a Sterling PCU 1220 distribution and charging system, ensuring optimal performance of the electrical setup onboard.
