Construction

  • Hull – initial lay-up using Lloyds approved isophthalic gelcoat and resin. Subsequent lay-up orthophthalic resin. Stiffened with heavy GRP foam filled stringers and hand bonded plywood grid, bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundations. Hand bonded, resin coated waterproof plywood bulkhead. High density foam cored bonded engine beds with integral plate steel mountings. Dark blue gelcoat top stripe in hull, white gelcoat elsewhere.
  • Superstructure – GRP with balsa reinforcing. Bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundations. White gelcoat finish. Hull and superstructure are bonded together with Plexus and bolted together using stainless steel bolts to 10 mm backing plates.


Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

  • Twin MAN D0836LE40 450hp diesel engines (Circa 660 hours).
  • Twin Disc EC300 electronic engine/gearbox controls at both helm positions.
  • Hydraulic pumps to both engines to power bow/stern thrusters and windlass.
  • 125A 24VDC alternators on each engine to charge domestic/start battery bank.
  • Super fuel pre filters.
  • Emergency fuel shut-off in saloon.
  • Twin Disc 5065A Quick Shift gearboxes with Twin Disc EC300 engine controls.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

  • Engine hours circa 660 @ April 2024.
  • Full engine serviced April 2024.
  • Antifouled April 2024.
  • Fresh anodes April 2024.
  • Max speed -  26 to 28 knots.
  • Cruising speed - 8 to 20 knots.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

  • 2 x 26” 4-bladed, hand fixed pitch propellers on stainless steel shafts.
  • Traditional simple packed stern glands for reliability and safety.
  • Cutless bearing in bronze P-brackets.
  • Cathodic bonding system to zinc anodes.
  • Bronze rudders with stainless steel stocks.

 

Other Mechanical Equipment:

  • Hydraulic tunnel bow-thruster.
  • Hydraulic stern-thruster on transom.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

  • 24V AGM engine x1 start battery with emergency link from domestic bank.
  • 32A shorepower.
  • Bosch oven and hob, microwave, immersion heater.
  • 7 x double sockets.
  • 2 x Victron 3KW inverters to power domestic sockets, oven/hob, microwave and AV equipment.
  • 12V AGM generator start battery bank.

 

Battery Banks:

  • 1 x engine start bank.
  • 4 x domestic battery banks 12VDC 160AH providing 320 AH at 24VCDC – also used as starting bank for 2nd engine.
  • 1 x generator battery.

 

Battery Chargers:

  • Victron battery charger 24VDC to charge domestic/engine banks.
  • 2 x Victron 3KW inverters to power domestic sockets, oven/hob, microwave and AV equipment.

 

Alternators:

  • 2 x engine-mounted alternators.

 

Generator:

  • Fischer Panda AGT 4000 DC generator.
  • New 24V x 4KW DC Inverter Generator installed in engine room.

 

Shore Power:

  • 32A shore power lead and socket at aft deck.
  • Shore power failure auto switch over fitted.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

  • 24VDC pressurised hot/cold water system with a 55 litre (12 Gal) calorifier heated by a 220VAC immersion heater.
  • Starboard main engine cooling water and central heating system also heat the calorifier.
  • Freshwater piping is insulated.

 

Bilge Pumps:

  • Electric submersible pumps with automatic sensors are installed in each of the 3 independent bilge areas.
  • The bilge pump isolators are fed by a permanent 24VDC supply even when the domestic circuit is isolated.
  • Emergency manual bilge pump operated from the STBD side saloon.

Tankage

Fuel:

  • 1,700 litre fuel tank split to 2 x 850 litre stainless steel tanks.

 

Fresh Water:

  • 559 litre fresh water tank.

 

Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:

  • 390 litre (85 Gal) holding tank with 24VDC discharge macerator pump-out below the waterline and deck pump-out facilities.
  • Shower and basin in the heads are piped to mini-tanks with automatic electric pump-out overboard.

  • Raymarine E120 chart plotter/radar displays, 2 at the lower helm, 1 at the flybridge.
  • Raymarine 48” open array HD digital radar scanner on mast.
  • Raymarine pilot control at both helms.

  • Raymarine VHF at lower helm, repeater on flybridge, 2nd Icom VHF at flybridge.

  • Extractor fan.
  • Opening coachport and dorade ventilation from deck.
  • Towel rail, soap dispenser, mirror with lights.
  • Aft heads separate shower cubical with curved Perspex sliding door.
  • Electric toilet with wash basin set in dedicated moulded unit.

Heating & Ventilation:

  • Eberspacher diesel-fired boiler circulating hot water to separate controllable units in each cabin and the saloon.

  • Extractor fans in each heads compartment and the galley.
