This Grand Banks 42 Motoryacht Meerlust II (German for Pleasure of the Sea) is a great trawler style fly bridge cruiser. The brand Grand Banks and its models hardly need an introduction. They are known known for its timelessly handsome style and solid construction. And even though Grand Banks has built its boats of fiberglass for more than 35 years, they retain the moulded-in planking lines reminiscent of their wood heritage. The teak planked transom, another signature of Grand Banks, adds to the classic wooden boat appearance. Meerlust II is very well equipped with two 350hp Caterpillar diesel engines, bow thruster, trim tabs, generator, telescopic electro-hydraulic passerelle, stainless steel Davits, dinghy wit outboard, complete navigation package at both helm stations, etc. She is furthermore equipped with a bimini, big sunbeds, and numerous covers and tarpaulins.
This Grand Banks 42 has a homelike and warm interior with satin-finished teak panels and joinery, teak parquet flooring and neutral-coloured upholstery. The main salon has entrance companionways on either side. The galley and the lower helm are situated forward, and the L-shaped dinette is aft to starboard. Aft of the main salon, and a few steps down, is the full-beam master cabin featuring a walkaround queen bed, a desk, generous storage, a head compartment to port and a shower stall to starboard. Forward from the main salon and, again, down several steps, is the V-berth cabin in the bow, and a twin cabin with I-shaped bunks to port. These cabins share the second bathroom that also serves as a day head. And to make your stay on board even more comfortable she comes with Eberspächer heating throughout, air-conditioning in the main salon and the master cabin, and a washing machine.
