BOAT OVERVIEW
The Excess 14 launched at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival to further the mission of the entire Excess line of catamarans: meet the increasing expectations of sailors seeking the comfort of life aboard a catamaran without sacrificing the pleasure of sailing.
The Excess 14 is fitted with a well-centered mast, a low boom, a generously-sized overlapping genoa, and a square top mainsail to enhance the sailing experience. Here is your chance to experience real sailing sensations with the twin helm stations located all the way aft. The center of gravity is lower, the connections with rudders are more direct, and her asymmetric hulls help reduce leeway. This model also has the best weight/power ratio compared to other production catamarans within the 44-foot segment.
The Excess 14 was designed with safety and comfort in mind. The side decks are spacious and the deck hatches are flush-mounted on the deck to eliminate tripping hazards. The transition from the cockpit to the salon also feels very safe and comfortable. The cockpit is sheltered from the sun and sprays due to the long and wide bimini perfectly integrated into the coachroof. There is plenty of natural light thanks to a large sliding glazed window and plenty of storage space. The cabins are spacious and the 4 cabin layout has 4 heads, each with a separate shower.
