Die Galeere "HAABET" von Holbæk aus dem Jahr 1906 hinterlässt eine beeindruckende Spur in den Geschichtsbüchern, die im Schiffsinspektionsbuch dokumentiert ist, das das Schiff seit 1906 begleitet.
HAABET wurde kontinuierlich instand gehalten, und es wurden Modernisierungen und Verbesserungen vorgenommen, um die Seele des Schiffes zu bewahren. HAABET präsentiert sich daher als eine sehr gut erhaltene traditionelle Galease aus dem Jahr 1906 mit moderner Ausrüstung wie Kartenplotter, AIS, Autopilot, Windanzeiger, Bugstrahlruder, elektrischer Ankerwinde, Echolot mit Fischfinder und elektrischer Heizung durch Landstrom usw.
Die HAABET wurde 1906 in Kikhavn gebaut, wo sie für einen örtlichen Fischereischiffer aus Hundested fuhr. Später wurde die HAABET für den Kauf von Frischfisch eingesetzt, der in Kopenhagen verkauft wurde. Von 1916 bis 1918 war die HAABET die erste Fähre zwischen Rørvig und Hundested, die mit Segeln und einem kleinen 7-PS-Motor fuhr.
Zwischen dem Ersten und dem Zweiten Weltkrieg transportierte die HAABET Obst und Gemüse von den dänischen Inseln in die Hauptstadt. Danach wurde das Schiff als Versorgungsschiff im Öresund eingesetzt, als die Schiffsversorgungsgesellschaft N. P. Winding die größeren Schiffe auf der Durchreise mit Frischwaren versorgte. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde das Schiff von den Deutschen beschlagnahmt, dann aber zurückgegeben und die Schäden mit Hilfe des dänischen Staates repariert.
Die HAABET ist nach den Wünschen einer modernen Familie gebaut und eingerichtet, z. B. mit einer Pantry mit Herd, Kühlschrank, heißem und kaltem Druckwasser und einer separaten Toilette mit Dusche. Das Schiff hat außerdem Liegeplätze für mindestens 4 Personen.
