Bruce Roberts 58 for sale in Kent
This 2004 Bruce Roberts designed 58ft steel constructed yacht was built by Peter Louis between 2004 and 2015 when it was launched on the River Medway at Maidstone where it has stayed until the last few weeks This yacht has an encapsulated traditional long keel with a deck stepped mast that has never been stepped. It has some standing rigging and sails that have never been used. The yacht offers six berths with two heads, one needs finishing off and a large galley, dinning area and saloon. This yacht could either be finished and sailed away or used as a liveaboard. Owners are open to offers for a quick sale.
Accommodation :
The yacht offers six berths in three cabins.
The forward cabin has a v-berth with opening deck hatch and portholes making it light and airy. It has two hanging lockers and storage under the berth.
Aft of the forward cabin and to starboard is a small workshop with a bench top with a vice and storage for tools and spares. Next to the workshop is the second heads which is partly finished with a marine toilet, wash basin and room for a shower to be fitted. The marine heads has a holding tank.
Opposite the forward heads is a large free standing freezer which has a bunk bed cabin aft of it with a handing wardrobe and shelves. This room again feels light and airy due to the portholes and deck hatches.
The u shaped galley is aft and to Port. It has 4 burner induction hob with a fan oven and grill, combination microwave, Hob extractor fan, Fridge/freezer, dishwasher (needs repairing)twin stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water. Hot water is heated by Kabola boiler and via the engine calorifier tank. There is lots of storage space for crookery, cutlery and pots and pans. The yacht can hold up to 2000 litres of water in one mild steel water tank.
Opposite the galley is the dinning area with a table that will seat six easily and a free standing sideboard.
Steps lead up to the saloon which is again very light and airy and has two black free standing settees, coffee table, and TV cabinet with a TV and DVD player. There is lots of storage lockers along the hull.
Steps lead down into the corridor that leads to the aft owners stateroom with a large double island berth and a very large en-suite heads with sink, marine heads and a walk in shower and holding tank. The stateroom has hanging lockers and additional storage lockers.
The engine room is accessed via the saloon and provides easy access to the batteries, engine, tanks and generator.
Steps from the saloon lead up to the very large cockpit which has seating for up to eight people and lost of storage lockers.

History & Construction:
This Bruce Roberts built by Peter Louis started construction in 2005. It has a blue painted steel hull with traditional encapsulated long keel with a white superstructure. The vessel was launched in 2015 following a period of time ashore being fitted out by the owner. he and his wife lived aboard the yacht continuing the fitout until 2020 where a period of illness has meant that they have had to pass ownership to his daughter. There is still some internal areas that need to be completed. The vessel was surveyed for insurance purposes just prior to its launch in 2015. The vessel has been registered on the British Ships Part 1 which has now expired.
This vessel could either be completed and sailed away or used as a liveaboard yacht. The owner is open to reasonable offers for a quick sale.

Spars and Sails:
This Bruce Roberts 58 has a Bermudan deck step masthead alloy mast and boom that were new in 2015. The mast and boom have never been fitted or used and are currently laid on the deck. It has a slab reefing mainsail with 2 reefs and a furling genoa. The stainless steel standing rigging has never been fitted and the necessary running rigging has never been purchased.

Mechanical Systems:
This Bruce Roberts 58 is fitted with a Ford Leman 6 cylinder naturally aspirated 130hp diesel engine which was fully recondition in 2012 and has completed four hours since the re-build. It is indirectly cooled via a heat exchanger. Shaft drive to a 3 blade 21 inch fixed prop. Engine last serviced 2020 by the owner. It has two mild steel 1395 litre fuel tanks. It has an approximate designed cruising speed of 6 knots a maximum speed of 10 knots.
Electrical Systems:
This Bruce Roberts 58 is fitted with a bank of 24v 800AH batteries that were all replaced in 2022. The batteries are charged by a 240v battery charger from the 240V ring main system and a 13KVA Northern Lights diesel generator. The yacht is also fitted with a 3.5 KW inverter and immersion heater. There are a number of 240v sockets through out the yacht.
