Tigger had an extensive refit and program of improvement under my ownership since 2021. I have made Tigger a true dual purpose boat, in cruising configuration there is a roller furling genoa and a fully battened stack pack main on sliders and batten cars. The tiller pilot is a boon on long legs and also very helpful when sailing single or short handed.
The work included reinforcement of the keel matrix structure, this involved removing the keel and then carrying out extensive stiffening of the hull under the professional supervision of Gary Scott-Jenner of Synolo design. Gary is the marine structural engineer who does the structural design for Sprit Yachts. During the refit the mast was inspected and all standing and running rigging was replaced with Dynema being used for the running rigging. The winches were serviced and several clutches were replaced. The sail drive diaphragm was replaced and the sail drive was serviced. A Harken furler with removable drum was fitted. The hull was also copper coated. A new Jabsco toilet was fitted 2021
The engine was removed and rebuild during 2023 with many new parts, it runs well and starts first time every time.
