An excellent Princess 38 Flybridge cruiser with exceptional engineering
The Owner has spent many tens of £thousands in the last three years, planning to keep the boat for a long time.
Thus, 'Pearly Diver' is a very nice example of the popular and spacious Princess 38 Flybridge cruisers with its 2 cabins. The interior is remarkably original, clean and little used.
The forward master cabin is en-suite with heads, shower and wash hand basin. The second cabin has twin berths using the other heads.
Of especial interest is the nicely-engineered side door on the port side of the aft cockpit, making access so much easier and safer.
The Owner is a professional diesel engineer so the drive-train of this Princess 38 Flybridge has been comprehensively checked and/or re-built. The, Borg Warner 72C gearboxes allowing contra-rotating propellors which, together with the bow thruster, helps make the boat very manoeuvrable.

Broker's Informal Comment.
With the Owner at the helm of his Princess 38 Flybridge we recently took 'Pearly Diver' for a short run in the Solent, having warmed the engines along the Beaulieu river. She quickly came up onto the plane and handled the Solent chop with ease. I was impressed with the relatively low level of noise in the cabin due to the recent installation of modern sound-reduction insulation in the engine room.
All in all, an excellent example of this popular classic.
Significant Expenditure
o ensure safe and enjoyable boating at sea for his family the Owner has carried out much work.
'Pearly Diver' was purchased and intensively re-worked in the engine bay to bring her up to excellent standards and provide reliable passage in the open seas.
The running gear is all mechanical as the turbo-charged diesel engines and BorgWarner transmissions have no electronic input making them both simple and very reliable. (And much easier to maintain).
With a clean hull and powered by the extensively re-worked twin 180hp Ford Mermaid engines, the boat quickly jumps onto the plane to achieve 20 knots. Thanks to the deep V profiled hull and thick layup (measured at 17mm) the boat is very confident in the Solent chop.
