Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998. 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• GRP hull, fin and skeg.
• Hull painted with Awlgrip Flag Blue – 2019 at Audax in Palma.
• Teak deck, believed to have been installed by C&N in UK 1998.
• Teak deck refitted in 2006/7 and under current ownership has had repairs and work done in 2022 and October 2024.

Keel & Rudder:

• Encapsulated keel.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Perkins Turbo M85 diesel engine, 85hp, installed 2000.
• Direct gearbox.

Maintenance & Performance:

• Last major overhaul 2022-23.
• Cruising speed – approx. 7 knots @ 1600 rpm.
• Maximum speed – approx. 8.5 knots.
• Fuel consumption at cruising speed – approx. 4 litres per hour.
• Range @ cruising speed – approx. 75 hours.

Propulsion & Steering:

• 3-blade Max Prop propeller.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 12vDC domestic system with 220v ring main shore power.

Battery Banks:

• 6 x batteries in parallel – 2021.
• 12V banks of 570 Amp HRS.

Battery Chargers:

• Mass Combi 12/2500 inverter.
• Solar panels and system to trickle charge batteries and anchor.

Alternators:

• 2 x alternators 12v on main engine.

Shore Power:

• 240V.

Note: There used to be a Fischer Panda generator that was removed, but most installations (pipe, water, exhaust) are still there and could be connected to a new generator.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• Calorifier for water heating via engine.
• 220v shore power hot water immersion tank.

Watermaker:

• Cathelco Sea Fresh 220V watermaker, approx. 80 litres/hour – 2013.
• Can only be operated by a generator (which is not installed) and needs recommissioning – not been in use for a few years.

Bilge Pumps:

• 12V DC and manual.

Tankage

Fuel:

• 300 litres in a stainless-steel tank, aft.

Fresh Water:

• 475 litres in 4 stainless steel tanks.
