A vendre : Le Mystic 60 ELYISIA OF GLASGOW, actuellement à Corfou.

English

Cult-classic German Frers designed centre cockpit bluewater cruisier from Ta Shing. Fully equipped for warm and cold waters adventures and offering a great combination of comfort and performance.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

The Mystic 60 was the result of 5 years of planning by Alan Morgan, the desire being to create an ocean cruising yacht that would appeal to those looking for something with more spirited performance than the standard cruiser designs. The design criteria in the brief to German Frers was ‘above all. She had to be a classic “proper” yacht designed for cruising an with a sea kindly hull. At the same time she was to be fast on all points of sail, with a rig that could be easily handled by just a two-man crew’. Launched in 1987 the design proved to be an immediate success with 6 boats built in the first 3 years.

ELYSIA is Mystic 60 hull number 7. Commissioned by the highly successful One Ton sailer Tony Vernon she differs from her sisterships with an added focus on performance. The Frers office redesigned the keel and rig, adding additional structure to create a ‘performance’ version of the already quick design. ELYISA boasts a deeper bulb keel and a taller rig to improve performance with a high-performance laminate hull to reduce the weight. Having circumnavigated the world twice and venturing as far north as St Petersberg she has proven to be a highly capable ocean cruiser with her electric winch system making the sail handling easy for the smallest of crews. Extensively re-fitting in 2013/14 by the current owners her inventory highlights include:

• Built American Bureau of Shipping 1-A Plus

• Approved stability book

• Topsides repainted in AwlGrip two-pack paint 2013/14

OWNER’S COMMENTS:

We purchased the Mystic 60 ELYSIA in 2013, immediately commissioning an extensive re-fit at the Manoel Island Boatyard in Malta. Our 10 seasons of ownership have been thoroughly enjoyable. The boat is a joy to sail with the rig beautifully balanced and the helm finger-tip light she is an easy boat to make ocean passages aboard. The Petter Yarn designed interior has taken our appreciation of ergonomics to a new level, every detail of the design has been carefully considered to make life afloat easier. It's with a heavy heart we are now offering this magnificent yacht for sale.
