The drive system has been designed to ensure that there is performance to spare, in doing so the system incorporates the following characteristics:

Powerful drive motors with a 65kW (88 hp) rated power
Large E-drive system storage with 210KWh
Supplemental solar charging up to 4.8 kW
The design of the boat is very efficient. It will only require only 37kW to power the boat at 8 knots giving sufficient run time in daily charter operations and unlimited range while running the range extender.
Electric Drive
The Island Spirit 525 implements the best of what clients like, including walk through salon, forward seating area and some trampoline, large flybridge, aft seating area for group meals, large galley and storage area, all en-suite cabin configurations, and crew accommodations.
With a generous sail plan and relatively light displacement, this model will be a very powerful sailing catamaran.
ELECTRIC DRIVE OPTION
The Island Spirit 525E was developed for the EV green boat platform. Group Island Spirit partnered with major system developers in the EV industry to develop an electric drive system that is affordable, safe, reliable, and functionally practical.
