OWNER’S COMMENTS:
The boat always collected multi-victories during the years and, in 2017, it won the first prize at XIV edition of “Regata dei cetacei”, it was ranked first in the category IRC Corinthian at the prestigious Copa del Rey in Palma de Mallorca and lastly, at Tour de Corse, got the third place of ORC category and fifth in real time.
Apart from that, there are 9 Olympic Sails racing sails, all manufactured during the last 12 months (practically new) as well as a further 16 spare-sails including 5 spinnakers.
Built in USA by the Goetz shipyard in 2003 with no budget’s limit. The boat, seen from its inside, generates so much emotion such it was so well built, by enhancing the special manufacturing of the hull in Kevlar. Complete and careful re-fit made during 2016/2017, the whole boat has been re- checked and all possible worn parts have been replaced piece by piece. Tailor-made boat’s cradle is property of the boat itself.
On late year 2018 improved with new B&G modern H5000 full-set instrumentation. On year 2019, through a cooperation with COSSUTTI Yacht Design Studio in Udine, Italy, the boat’s keel has been re-projected and a new bulb has been built: such significant investment has enabled the boat to highly improve its straightening, leading it from 327,1 to 405,60 with a GPH of 487,3 (year 2018) that has become of 498,1 on year 2019. As a consequence to this modification, “QQ7” has therefore achieved a better rating anyhow also increasing the global weight, that now has risen to 11581. This intervention has made “QQ7” not only faster in VPP but also more competitive in corrected time.
