Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive)) and is categorised Cat. B “OFFSHORE” for 14 persons.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Solid laminate GRP (epoxied at new) with blue gel-coated hull and varnished teak badging.
• White GRP superstructure.
• Rubber “D” fendering and varnished timber spray rails.
• Aft deck, side deck, foredeck and coachroof top laid to simulated teak with black caulking.
• Varnished teak companionway doors.
• Two aft deck lockers with moulded, padded backrests.
• Single exterior helm stool abaft of the port console.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Twin Volvo Penta TAMD63 6 cylinder, 4-stroke, direct injection, turbo-charged and aftercooled 5.46L diesel engines, rated to 370HP @ 2800 RPM.
• ZF electronic single-lever chromed gear/throttle controls at both helm stations (new 2022).
• The engines are flexibly mounted and have a sea water filter to each engine.
• HMI exhaust high–temperature alarm to each station.
• Racor type fuel filters with glass sediment bowls.
• ZF 220A reduction gearboxes with 2.04:1 ratio.
• High quality sound proofing to engine room.
• Sea-Fire automatic fire extinguisher to the engine room (service date unverified).
• 2 x engine bay fans.

Maintenance & Performance:

• The engines have been regularly maintained – last service with Dale Nelson in 2022.
• Indicated engine hours: 1159 at October 2024.
• Cruising Speed: 16 knots at 2000rpm.
• Maximum Speed: 28 knots at 2800rpm.
• Fuel Consumption: ca. 13.5 Imperial Gallons per hour / 62 litres per hr cruising with c.285nm range with 20% reserve.
• Boat last ashore for polish, antifoul, new anodes, etc. – October 2024.
• Engine room cleaned and re-painted by Dale Nelson – May 2022.

Propulsion & Steering:

• Dual hydraulic steering, greasers to rudder tubes.

• Conventional shaft drive to Hyperform four-bladed propellers (24” diameter, 29” pitch, 610mm x 740 mm).

Voltage Systems:

• 12 Volt ships system and 240 Volt shore system.

Battery Banks:

• 2 x 12V 110amp/hr batteries for isolated engine start circuits (2022).
• 2 x 12V 110amp/hr batteries for all other circuits (2022).
• Sealed and vented battery boxes, cross over battery link switch.

Battery Chargers:

• Victron Energy Phoenix Charger 12V/50A automatic battery charger & Phoenix Charger Control at lower console.

Alternators:

• 2 x Volvo alternators fitted – port engine for house bank charging, starboard for cranking bank.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• Fresh water approximately 85 Imperial Gallons (385 litres), 1500W/ 240V hot water immersion tank - approximately 9 gallons (40 litre) capacity.
• Pressurised hot and cold water.
• Freshwater washers to wheelhouse front screens.

Bilge Pumps:

• 5 x electric pumps with automatic switches.
• One manual bilge pump with suction inlets either side of engine room.
• Bilge alarms at both helms for engine room bilges.

Tankage

• Tank Tender gauges to water/fuel/waste tanks and on-deck fillers.

Fuel:

• Approx. 300 Imp. Gallons / 1363 litres capacity in two GRP centreline tanks in the keel.

Fresh Water:

• 85 Imperial Gallons / 385 litres capacity.

Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:

• 18 gallons / 82 litres capacity approx. – connected to forward and aft heads, with macerator (tank & valves installed 2022).
• Black water tank approximately 18 gallons (82 litres) connected to forward toilet.
• Deck suction outlet and macerator for overboard discharge.
• Odour filter fitted to waste tank breather.

At Lower Helm Console:

• Suunto portable hand-bearing gimbal compass.
• Raymarine Axiom 7” multifunction display screen (new 2022), linked to Raymarine Quantum 2 closed radar scanner (new 2022 -mounted on white-painted steel hinged radar arch).
• Raymarine remote keypad (new 2022).
• Raymarine i70 (Speed / Depth) (new 2022) mounted to panel above companionway.
• Raymarine P70 autopilot control head (new 2022).
