Kathryn was built in 2000 and current owner purchased the boat in 2003.
The owner is himself a full-time mechanic for the RNLI and has kept the boat to a high standard through modifications and routine maintenance. She is regularly serviced, and full-service logs have been kept.
The outside of the boat is kept clean and polished, and the teak spray rail and white boot-top line are painted every other year. The bathing platform was remade in 2008 and is treated with teak oil each winter. The anti-foul was stripped back in 2018 and she is now coated with CP Pro Long-life anti foul The wooden mast was replaced with a stainless-steel mast in 2018 with LED navigation lights. All plastic vents replaced with stainless steel and VHF aerials replaced in 2018. She is fitted with duplex primary diesel filters.
New canopy in 2018 and for the last 5 years has been kept inside a boat shed each winter when a tonneau cover replaces the canopy. This has kept the canopy in good condition.
Most of the internal upholstery was replaced in 2018 and new cushions made.
New Jabsco sea toilet fitted in 2023. New shaft and cutlass bearings have just been fitted and injector nozzles replaced 2024
Just prior to being put onto the market she had a sea trial. All major items were thoroughly checked, and no faults found. This included engine, shaft, automatic bilge pump, manual bilge pump, Eberspacher heating, windscreen wipers, ship’s radio and handheld radio, auto pilot and chart plotter.
There is a good selection of warps, 2 new auto life jackets and one older manual one, various engine spares and a prop puller to enable prop to be removed with rudder in situ. Along with the standard fenders there are 2 ball fenders, useful for springing.
This is an exceptionally well looked after boat in excellent condition an early viewing is recomended as the owners have now bought their New Seaward 25 and are serious sellers
