Constructed with 12mm Western Red Cedar and sheathed with woven glass and epoxy both externally and internally makes Sara-Rose a very sound vessel

The North Quay 17 is a very clever design resulting in a versatile, and easy to sail day boat. She has a huge cockpit giving space for 3 large adults while offering an exciting performance, especially when sailing off the wind.

Her exceptionally shallow draft with the centreplate up allows access to the heads of the creeks where nobody else will be anchored overnight. There is also a tent that covers the whole of the cockpit. Therefore this boat could be used for alfresco camping if required as there is plenty of stowage in the bows

Sara Rose is Powered by a 2 year old 6Hp Suzuki outboard engine to get home when the wind fails plus she also has the bonus of a road trailer

The ‘Trailer Sailor’ concept is more popular now than ever before, and with a total weight just over 1 ton she can be towed behind a moderate sized family car making her very versatile. Storing a boat at home over the winter and even being able to launch on a slipway will reduce yearly running costs enormously while still having a very pretty and fun boat to sail.
