The yacht was completely refitted in 2020 and now boasts a beautifully light, casual and contemporary interior design. Her accommodation is breathtaking and can comfortably host nine guests in her four cabins.
The master suite and aft guest cabin span the full beam, and the additional guest cabins comprise a triple bunk for entertaining family and friends. There is also separate crew quarters for four with a private crew mess.
The bridge deck is just a dream with its own day head and saloon. This space also is set up to be a functional office which flows out onto the full covered aft deck and bar, making it ideal for alfresco dining with a view or hosting unforgettable parties.
The galley, with stainless steel benches and commercial appliances, adjoins the saloon on the main deck, then flowing on to the aft cockpit with dual access to the transom. DoubleYou has a great ambience and features the volume and capacity to hold all the tenders and toys you could think of. The massive 18,000 litres of diesel will take you 4000+ NM*. Normal cruising speed is 10 to 11 knots, and she is stabilised by fins for underway and at anchor enhanced comfort. The mini keel running down the centre line provides both natural stability and running gear protection.
Her full stand-up central engine room houses twin Caterpillar 3206 engines and twin Northern lights gensets, so there is an assurance of global serviceability. The engine room allows for excellent serviceability of its systems, as you would expect from a yacht capable of a 4000NM range.
The bridge electronics have also been upgraded. Access to the Portuguese bridge via the side doors allow for visual enhancement of the bow and flanks when needed. This is a true explorer feature and will be appreciated by a captain who likes a functional practical design.
