This Birchwood 49 Challenger is a rarely offered boat on the market and stands out with its enormous spaciousness, both below deck in the boat's cabins as well as on the aft deck and the covered flybridge. The boat has 3 cabins, each with a toilet/shower. The fore and aft cabins have double beds, and the mid cabin has two single beds. There is storage space under all the beds, and ample closet space in all the cabins. The boat's salon is spacious with a large table and sofa group, and the galley is well-equipped with a refrigerator and ceramic stove, among other things. The aft deck is huge, and the covered flybridge provides an additional outdoor space in all types of weather. This boat is particularly well-suited for long stays on board or as a liveaboard boat.
The boat is equipped with 2 x 450 HP Iveco Aifo engines, a 16 kW 230V Onan generator, 230V shore power, 2 x 750-liter water tanks, 2 x 1000-liter diesel tanks, Raymarine navigation equipment, davits, anchor winch, hot and cold water, diesel heating as well as portable electric radiators, and much more equipment on board. The aft canopy and flybridge canopy were custom-made in 2016 and are in good condition. The boat has been regularly serviced and maintained by the owner, with the last major engine service taking place in 2022 when the boat was on land for hull painting. In June 2024, the hull was checked and cleaned by a diver while the boat was in the water.
The boat appears neat and well-maintained, making it the ideal vessel for a family that requires a lot of space or wishes to live on board.
