Built by Royal Huisman shipyard in 1982, Volador has the higest possible pedigree
for a yacht of her era.
In 2005, she underwent a complete technical and cosmetic refit, which included
fitting a virtually all-new interior including 4 new ensuite double cabins guests. All
electronic equipment was replaced and upgraded, deck hardware, safety
equipment and sailing hydraulics were all replaced. She has been continually
maintained and upgraded to the highest standards.
Fully MCA compliant, Volador is as well suited to the modern charter market as
she is for private cruising. She is a true blue water thoroughbred, guaranteed to
bring many miles of happy cruising to all sailing lovers.
Speed & Cruising Capabilities
The yacht has a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum speed of 10 knots. Her long-range capabilities make her an excellent choice for ocean crossings and offshore adventures. The fuel capacity consists of two 787-liter tanks, two 700-liter tanks, and a 90-liter day tank, totaling 3,064 liters. The fresh water system holds 3,000 liters, ensuring self-sufficiency for extended yacht charters or private use. Grey water is stored in two 210-liter tanks, totaling 420 liters, while black water is managed with two 250-liter tanks, totaling 500 liters. Volador is designed for long-range cruising with reliable systems that support autonomy at sea.
Electronic Equipment
Equipped with a Mercedes-Benz 8VOM402 inboard diesel engine delivering 260 horsepower, Volador ensures smooth and efficient navigation. The yacht also features a Kohler 13.5 kW generator for uninterrupted power supply, a high-performance battery system, and advanced onboard electronics for modern navigation and communication. The electrical system includes a service bank with 24 volts and 1250 amps, a navigation bank of 24 volts with 600 amps, and a 24-volt 220-amp engine start battery. The onboard energy management system ensures optimal efficiency and reliability during long-distance voyages.
Guest Accommodation
Volador accommodates up to eight guests in four ensuite staterooms, offering luxurious and spacious accommodations.
