Explore the seas with the Tamarisk 24, a noteworthy vessel with a rich history of sailing myriad waters. Built in 1981 and situated in Plymouth, United Kingdom, this seaworthy beauty has travelled over 70,000 sea miles, venturing from Shetlands in the north to Tarifa Point in the south and as wide as Portugal and the Gulf of Genoa. This remarkable boat also boasts extensive freshwater miles spanning across the aquatic networks of Netherlands and France. The Tamarisk 24 sleeps three comfortably in its single cabin, equipped with a small linear galley. Every modern navigational aid imaginable is at hand, including Garmin GPS 120, Raymarine ST2000+ Tillerpilot, NASA AIS Radar and Furuno Echo Sounder LS-6000. Safety is well-assured courtesy of Firdell Blipper radar reflector, dry powder fire extinguishers, fire blanket, and more. Powered by a Yanmar 1GM10, 10 hp diesel engine and fitted with a custom dry riser exhaust manifold and Vetus exhaust water trap, this boat promises resourceful performance with a fuel consumption of 1.0 to 1.3 litres per hour. Other mechanical specifications include shaft driven and clockwise (RH) prop, a Vetus cooling water filter, and an inventory of engine spares. The boat is rigged with Canadian spruce wooden spars and comes with a mainsail by Stephen Ratsey, jib by Wilkinson Sails, and staysail by Ullman Sails. Now ready for a new chapter of journeys tucked under its sturdy keel, the Tamarisk 24 awaits its new owner to venture into the horizons once again.
