The Stephen Jones designed Supernova 30 is a competitive half tonner, ideal for some great racing on a sensible budget. "Smiffy" has been adapted from her original design with a changed keel and rudder to boost her performance.

Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to six berths. V berth forward. Full width heads with Jabsco marine toilet. In saloon, two settee berths. Chart tabloe. Galley with two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Sink with manual cold water supply. Two quarter berths.
Mechanical Systems
Located behind the companionway, Yanmar YGM10 single cylinder 10hp diesel engine (1995). Electric start. Seawater cooled. Shaft drive to two bladed folding propeller. 30 litre fuel capacity. Single lever control. 5 knot cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 7 knots.

Construction
Built in 1978 to a design by Stephen Jones. Dark blue painted GRP hull (Awlgrip 2012). White painted GRP superstructure (Awlgrip 2012) with non-slip to deck. Fin keel (new 2004). Spade hung rudder (2013). Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. The hull was grit blasted and epoxied in 2009 as a preventative measure.
