AI-generated summary

The Sailfish 25, designed by Angus Primrose and built in 1975 by Maxim Marine, is a versatile and well-regarded small cruiser, renowned for its ability to explore shallow waters owing to its lifting keel, reducing the draft from 3'7" to 13". Located at Burnham Yacht Harbour in the UK, 'Rozinante' has undergone significant recent upgrades, including an engine overhaul and lift keel mechanism refurbishment during the winter of 2023/24. This boat features five berths spread across two cabins, with amenities such as a galley with a two-burner gas cooker, V-berth, saloon convertible double berth, and a quarters berth aft. Mechanically, the Sailfish is powered by a Yanmar 1GM10 diesel engine, and it's equipped with masthead rigged sloop sails managed through furling systems and Lewmar winches. The vessel is complemented by full navigation equipment and safety features like a horseshoe lifebuoy and bilge pumps. Being an economical alternative to models like the Westerly Centaur, the Sailfish 25 offers excellent value for those seeking cruising options in various water conditions.

About this Sailfish 25

English

Description

The Sailfish 25, designed by Angus Primrose, offers a spacious, moderately fast small cruiser, with the major advantage of being able to explore shallow estuaries and to use cheaper drying moorings due to her lifting keel, which reduces the draft from 3'7" to 13". 'Rozinante' had her engine completely overhauled over the winter of 2023/24 and the lift keel mechanism was also overhauled at the same time. She would be a good alternative to anyone looking at a Westerly Centaur or similar.
