This 1972 Frans Maas Raider 35 is a very capable offshore cruising yacht with moderate draft allowing her to equally enjoy coastal sailing offering 6 berths across 2 cabins. Accommodation :
This Frans Maas Raider 35 provides accommodation for up to six people across two cabins, with a maximum headroom of approximately six feet.
The forepeak features a V-berth with ample under berth storage. This berth also easily converts it into a double berth via an infill with reading lights above the berths, with natural light provided by an overhead deck hatch.
Moving aft, the heads compartment is to port with an electric marine toilet, offering shelf and storage cupboard behind the heads.
The saloon features an off-centre table to port with booth seating and a settee berth to starboard. These berths provide convenient storage under the seats and on shelves behind them. The booth seating area can also be easily converted into a double berth. Located on the port side is a 700W microwave (new April 2024)
Located on the port side aft within the saloon, the galley is equipped with a gimbaled Flavel Wayfarer 2-burner gas hob with an oven and grill, a single stainless-steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water, and ample storage space. This vessel also benefits from a 200 Litre freshwater capacity tank, with pressurised hot water being provided by the HCALORY 5KW diesel heating system (new March 2024) which also provides heating to the fore cabin and saloon. There is a thermostat in each area and a remote control. .
Adjacent to the galley on the starboard side is a large forward facing chart table with internal chart storage, instrumentation including the VHF, Radar, Battery indicator and vessel distribution panel. Located behind the Chart table is a quarter berth with under berth and shelf storage.
Ascending the companionway leads to the spacious aft cockpit, featuring bench seating for up to six people and generous storage in a deep locker. The cockpit instrumentation includes a compass, depth gauge, wind direction indicator, and speed log, with engine controls, cockpit enclosure new 2019, and wheel steering.

History & Construction
Constructed by De Visser Boatyard in 1972 according to a Frans Maas design. Featuring a blue GRP hull adorned with a teak rubbing strake, with teak decks and white GRP superstructure and a self-draining cockpit. Its stability is ensured by a fin keel, with spade hung rudder and wheel steering.
The boat was last out of the water between October 2023 and April 2024 when she was last antifouled, and her anodes replaced. The owner has enjoyed the vessel for the last 15 years and is selling as they are looking to buy a larger vessel.

Sails and Spars:
This Frans Maas Raider 35 features a Masthead, Bermudan sloop rig, with a keel stepped aluminium Sailspar mast and boom in 2000, with stainless steel standing rigging that was replaced in 2019. Equipped with a Sailspar furling headsail and an in-mast furling mainsail with lines led aft. The running rigging was partial replaced in 2024. It has an alloy spinnaker pole and adjustable backstay.

Mechanical Systems:
The Frans Maas Raider 35 is equipped with a 27HP Yanmar 3GM30 diesel engine, installed in 2003 propelling a shaft-mounted three-bladed fixed propeller, operated via Morse controls. Fuel is stored in a 70-litre stainless steel tank. The engine was last serviced by the owner in April 2024.

Electrical Systems:
The Frans Maas Raider 35 is equipped with three 12-volt batteries, comprising one for engine use, 100AH and two for domestic purposes 120AH each. These batteries charge directly from the engine alternator, Marlec 924i Wind generator new 2019, and Victron battery charger new 2021.
This Frans Maas Raider 35 also benefits from a 240- volt ring main throughout the vessel and 1000W inverter. This vessel also has from a Marlec HRDI battery management system to ensure optimal performance of the electrical setup onboard.
