'HUMBUG' was chosen by its present owner for safety, seakeeping qualities, layout, practicality, comfort, and Nelson looks, and she has never disappointed.
Initially kept on a private pontoon on the tidal Beaulieu River with annual lift-outs for antifouling. Used for all-weather family excursions to Cowes and wider Solent, mostly day trips. Accommodation is spacious and comfortable for 3-4 adults with good headroom. Ample storage space. Turns on a sixpence at low speed but has plenty of power for open water.
The Galley is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, utensils, and pans (see inventory). The cockpit now has dining tables ideal for eating and offers excellent space for entertainment with a canopy cover and windows open/closed, up and/or down.
Moved berth downriver to Bucklers Hard Yacht Harbour 2021, and cradled ashore 6/7 months annually since.
After 12 happy years of ownership, family needs have evolved with grandchildren owning dinghies themselves and the Skipper returning to sail cruising in wilder places.
