Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

  • GRP hull, fin and skeg.
  • Hull painted with Awlgrip Flag Blue – 2019 at Audax in Palma.
  • Teak deck, believed to have been installed by C&N in UK 1998.
  • Teak deck refitted in 2006/7 and under current ownership has had repairs and work done in 2022 and October 2024.

 

Keel & Rudder:

  • Encapsulated keel.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

  • Perkins Turbo M85 diesel engine, 85hp, installed 2000.
  • Direct gearbox.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

  • Last major overhaul 2022-23.
  • Cruising speed – approx. 7 knots @ 1600 rpm.
  • Maximum speed – approx. 8.5 knots.
  • Fuel consumption at cruising speed – approx. 4 litres per hour.
  • Range @ cruising speed – approx. 75 hours.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

  • 3-blade Max Prop propeller.
