Magnum Marine Corporation represents a key name in the world of high-performance luxury yachts and racing boats. The company was founded as Magnum Marine in 1966 by Don Aronow, a skilled businessman and world champion offshore racer, in North Miami, Florida USA. He commissioned his crafts to naval architect, Jim Wynne, bearing in mind a combination of speed, safety, and reliability. Fascinatingly, the first Magnum Marine vessel, a 27’ race boat, was used by Aronow himself to win the 1967 Miami-Nassau race, solidifying the reputation of his brand in the high-performance boat market.
Despite the initial success of Magnum Marine, Aronow sold the company to Marchese Filippo Theodoli and his wife Katrin in 1976. The Theodoli couple relocated the headquarters to Aventura, Florida while remaining faithful to Miami's spirit. Under their leadership, the company shifted emphasis from race boats to luxury yachts, focusing on comfort without trading off speed and performance. Hence, new Magnum models were globally accepted by private users, law enforcement agencies, and even the navy.
Nowadays, after almost six decades, Magnum Marine is still run by Katrin Theodoli in the wake of Filippo's death in 1990, crafting vessels characterised by an innovative design, grandeur, speed, excellence, and durability. Over the years, it has definitively established its leadership and reputation within the high-performance marine industry, thanks to investment in technology and design development blended with traditional craftsmanship. Based in Aventura, Florida, Magnum vessels continue to grace both the racing and luxury yachting world as a testament to their owner's vision and the commitment to quality that has remained at the heart of the brand since its inseption.
