About this Lappeenrannan 19m Steel Staysail Schooner

English

Classic-styled Staysail Schooner from the board of an esteemed Dutch designer and built in Steel in Finland. Maintained by a professional captain, MUSTAMAIJA has benefitted from a program of continual refit and upgrade and is now presented in fantastic condition, ready for new adventures.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

Conceived by a group Finnish yachtsmen and businessmen with a plan to build and then operate the vessel in syndicated ownership, MUSTAMAIJA was designed by H. Lunstroo, jr. scheepsarchitekt N.B.J.A in Holland and her steel hull then fabricated by the Lappeenrannan Shipyard in Finland. Her construction started in 1981 and she was finally fully commissioned for usage in time for the 1984 sailing season. Boasting timeless and elegant hull lines coupled with a well-proportioned and easily managed staysail schooner rig, MUSTAMAIJA is sure to be one of the prettiest boats in any marina. Robustly constructed in steel and with the benefit of substantial refits and upgrades over recent seasons, MUSTAMAIJA remains in her original syndicate ownership, but the decision has now been made to sell her outright and find new custodians to continue her adventures.
