Haines 400 For Sale in Kent
Built in 2011 this Haines 400 offers comfort and luxury with six berths spread across two cabins and a spacious saloon, perfect for hosting family and friends.

Accommodation :
The Haines 400 offers accommodation for six people across two cabins. The fore cabin offers a central double berth with under-berth storage. This cabin also includes a hanging wardrobe to port and additional storage space to starboard. Located on the Portside is access to a shower room with built in shower tray, shower attachment and shower curtain.
The heads are positioned on the starboard side behind the forward cabin with direct access from the forward cabin. They feature a sink set in a vanity unit and an electric marine toilet. The sink is equipped with hot and cold water.
The galley is located amidships across both port and starboard and includes a single stainless-steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, an in counter cool box, a fridge and freezer to port. To starboard you’ll find a three-burner gas hob, an oven and grill. The galley area benefits from 240-Volt sockets and ample storage space to both kitchenets.
This Haines 400 benefits from a 450 Litre freshwater capacity, with two holding tanks 1x Forward 155L and 1x Aft 115L.
Ascending into the main saloon, this area offers great natural light and great visibility through two large forward and three side facing windows to both port and starboard along with a large opening skylight. The saloon includes a U-shaped seating area with white leather upholstery to starboard with an extending table, under seat storage and a single settee to port along with plenty of storage. This Haines 400 boasts from a Sony 32’ tv, CD/radio, 240V Sockets, Webasto diesel heater supplying heat to the main saloon, owners’ cabin and guest cabin.
Steps at the rear of the saloon lead down to the owner’s cabin, with a large central island double bed with underbed storage, draws either side of the bed and hanging wardrobe’s to both port and starboard. The owners cabin also includes an en-suit with a sink set in a vanity unit equipped with hot and cold water, separate shower cubical, shower attachment and an electric marine toilet.
The companion way leads to the aft cockpit, with an external helm located on the starboard side, with a double helm seat with full engine controls and operational navigation aids. This area is complete with a fully enclosed canopy and booth seating in the stern of the cockpit. The cockpit also provides access to the bathing platform via moulded GRP steps, and access to both port and starboard decks.

History & Construction:
This Haines 400, built in 2011, features a white GRP hull and topsides with stainless steel stanchions, pulpit, and a bathing platform. Its deep V hull design ensures excellent stability at sea. The vessel was last out of the water in September 2024 for antifouling, and anode replacement. The current owner has enjoyed the boat for the last year and is selling due to looking for a smaller vessel.

This Haines 400 has twin 260hp Yanmar 6BY2 turbocharged diesel engines, driving shafts with 2 x 4-bladed fixed propellers with rope cutters.
The engines are fresh water-cooled and have completed a total of 828.4 hours, as of 28th November 2024.
There are two 500-litre stainless steel fuel tanks giving a total fuel capacity of 1000 litres. This Haines 400 has a cruising speed of approximately 15 knots with a top speed of approximately 20 knots. To make handling easy this boat is fitted a bow thruster and trim tabs.
Electrical Systems:
The Haines 400 is equipped with five 12-volt batteries. (2 x engine, 2023) + (2 x domestic, 2023) + (1 x Anchor Windless)
These batteries are charged both by the alternator and battery charger when connected to the 240V power system. The 12V Management system ensures optimal performance of the electrical setup onboard.
This Haines 400 also benefits a 240v ring main throughout, an immersion heater and battery charger.
