About this Fairey Super Swordsman 33

English

Since 2000 Tabasco has had just 3 X owners, each of whom have maintained and added considerably to the beautiful example she is today. The first of these x3 owners was Falmouth Boat Construction, a well-respected Cornish boat builder and still based in Falmouth. Falmouth Boat Construction carried out substantial rebuild and renovation works, including the fitting of the 2 X new engines and, after several years use, sold Tabasco to a private owner who kept and further improved Tabasco in Salcombe, Devon. Then, in the Spring of 2016, she was purchased by the current owner who wanted a more spacious boat than the Christina 25 he'd owned for more than 10 years.

Tabasco (hull no 51 built 1973) is a much loved and cared for Super Swordsman and, being one of the last 14 Super Swordsmen built to Fairey's final design, Tabasco benefits from the many refinements incorporated as the Swordsman was continually improved during what turned out to be the final years of production. As well as the raised roof profile, which created the more spacious and brighter aft cabin fitted by Fairey Marine to the Super Swordsman (instead of the dark, almost windowless aft cabins on the earlier Swordsmen), the greater use of varnished interior timber on the Super Swordsmen epitomises classic tradition and style. To further enhance Tabasco's beautiful woodwork recent finishing touches such as the rechroming of the original handles, fittings and even hinges, along with years of careful and thoughtful use have all helped toward preserving Tabasco's classic elegance.

Throughout, Tabasco has been maintained in the conscientious and thoughtful manner necessary for regular and reliable use by her current owner. Needless to say a comprehensive mechanical service history is available. Most importantly, during the damp winter months (mid/end October to mid May) Tabasco has been kept indoors at her home boatyard in Cornwall helping substantially towards keeping her in the beautiful condition she is in today. Also available are many invoices and documents which demonstrate Tabasco's detailed, thorough and careful maintenance and improvements history, not only during her current ownership, but also during the previous owner's 10 year tenure.
