Accomodation

The saloon layout features a half-up galley, which reduces motion and sea sickness when cooking and gives the cook a very clear view through all bridge deck windows. There is plenty of built-in storage and displacement for carrying the large amounts of provisions needed to cruise for extended periods with up to six crew on board. Within the saloon layout a further three berths can be provided for short term visitors or race weekends. There's also an option for a single bunk sofa area in the hull companionway.

Access into the hulls drops down at each end of the saloon, as the engines, systems generator and tanks are under the soles, making them very easy to access.

The port hull has the owner’s cabin aft and features a large double berth with storage underneath, with additional storage, shelving and hanging lockers. A comfortable built-in seat and escape hatches are also positioned in both aft cabins. Mid port, in the systems area where all the batteries, chargers, inverters and electronics are positioned - in order to reduce wiring runs and weight - there is further storage for spares, tools and safety equipment. There is also a single berth option here, which would reduce storage capacity. Forward in the port hull features a very large heads compartment with separate shower, overhead hatch and port lights, integrated moulded sink unit and vanity storage. There is also hanging space for drying wet gear.

The starboard hull has a slightly smaller aft cabin, designed as a twin but with the option of converting to a full double berth with storage underneath, additional shelving lockers and a seat. Centre starboard is the galley with massive worktop storage, sink, oven, grill, hob and large fridge and freezer. Any chef will be very happy here with such a deluxe kitchen; capacious storage, great social interaction and fantastic all-round views. The 1195 has had many gourmet meals prepared while underway, and the 1495 will offer the same stability, with additional space for preparation. Forward there is an option for a walk through heads compartment, effectively making the boat en suite when cruising with four. The toilet is hidden by a set of mouldings and a second shower can also be fitted here if required. Forward of this is another double berth cabin with hatch over, a seat and usual storage compartments a further 1.2m long dry storage compartment forward of the berth, is suitable for bags and suitcases or dry spinnakers etc.

Sails and Rig

The standard rig is an alloy 18m twin spreader, discontinuous diamond stays with composite shrouds and lowers, rod forestay with hank on jib, with slab reef. This can be upgraded to a carbon 20m rig for those more intent on racing.

Sails include a square headed full battened main on track system, 3 reefs with clew reef blocks built in. self tacking jib and an asymmetric spinnaker. Options on top down furling larger asymmetric sails and code 0 sails are available. The forward spinnaker pole is built in carbon and features the classic Dazcat carbon V striker and synthetic bridle, with a twin line tack-line system for both code 0 and spinnakers, with jammers.
