The Advanced 66 “BOTTA DRITTA“ is a very special model with his unique owner the owner who equipped the boat with many sails, which can also be used for regattas.
The mast and boom are made of carbon (V boom), the rigging is made of carbon, the interiors are in perfect state and very comfortable.
The instrumentation is updated B&G. The hull was repainted in 2023/2024.
The Advanced 66 has been developed by 2 world-class design studios: Nauta Design and Reichel Pugh. Modernity, ease of handling and great looks are the key words for the design of the A66. She is a mini superyacht and a smaller version of the Advanced 80 as opposed to a larger version of her sporty stablemate the Advanced 62.
Hull lines are modern, but no means extreme. There is a trend for wider and wider sterns in the cruising world, to echo the latest thoughts on ocean racing, a trend that works well in light displacement carbon fire rockets with no interior, but adds far too much drag and unbalanced performance at different heel angles in the cruising world. A moderate balance from Reichel Pugh gives a pleasant hull form, for upwind and downwind work, a balanced feel at all heel angles and a very pleasant sailing experience.
Stability and performance, together with wide volume were key requirements in the hull design. The shape of the rudder and the profile of the fin were developed as a result of R&D to achieve high speed and performance and to allow helmsmen perfect yacht control in any sailing and weather condition.
The standard yacht is very well equipped, with carbon mast and boom as standard, high modulus for the race version naturally with an optional upgrade for both versions, with EC6 carbon rigging to increase righting moment and reduce displacement while sailing, and reducing pitch and roll at anchor.
The anchoring system is well proven, utilising the upgraded fixed bowsprit to incorporate the bow roller and the Code 0 and Spinnaker padeyes. Windlass naturally located under the bow locker, easily accessed and hidden from view on the sleek and unencumbered bow.
Pop up mooring winches make handling the yacht a simple task with minimal crew.
The generously sized cockpit provides a relaxing environment while the large glass surfaces on the coach roof make being on-board enjoyable whatever the season.
A semi-custom approach to the build gives the owner flexibility for cockpit layouts, in terms of seating, and the table. The standard yacht has a beautifully designed day bed in the cockpit area, easily transformed for sailing and then back to relaxing at anchor with the bimini up or down.
