AI-generated summary

For sale in Plymouth, United Kingdom, this former ship's lifeboat has been lovingly transformed into a seaworthy gem, perfect for intrepid sailors. Manufactured in 1970, she radiates hardiness with more than two tonnes of lead and steel ballast, a long keel, and engine configuration reminiscent of ship's lifeboats, including one central 70hp Daewoo L034 engine (new in 2015) flanked by two smaller auxiliary Saab 18hp diesel engines. Notably, the vessel has been under the same ownership for 20 years, and was restored ashore for nearly a decade. Comfortably accommodating six within two cabins, this vessel offers a galley kitchen, a large saloon table, electric seawater toilet and a well-equipped helm area. It benefits from upgrades such as reupholstered seats and renewals of headlining, hull linings, and carpets. You'll also find Garmin navigation aids, a robust anchorage system, stainless steel deck features, safety equipment and a good entertainment setup on board. The expertly kept GRP hull was stripped and epoxy coated in 2010, while the topsides were professionally painted in 2022. The asking price for this exceptional find is £32,500. Step aboard and set sail on your next adventure!

About this Lifeboat

English

Remarks :
This is an ex-ship lifeboat, as you would expect of a vessel made for this purpose; she is exceptionally well made with fundamental sea-going features. I would have no hesitation in taking this vessel to sea. She has over two tonnes of lead and steel ballast; she has a long keel and still has the engine configuration used if she were a ship's lifeboat with two smaller auxiliary engines and a single central engine of 70hp.
The boat has been well maintained and upgraded throughout the years and has been in the same ownership for 20 years. The current owner had her lying ashore for almost ten years whilst she was refitted and has been in the water each season for the last 12 years.
