The Macwester Seaforth 36 is a rare example of a bilge keel motorsailer. The Macwester Seaforth 36 is a comfortable, tough and capable craft that is perfect for those who wish to spend time aboard exploring the high seas, shallow creeks, or the European canals.
When you board "Halcyon Grace", it is not hard to be charmed by her traditional good looks and the perception of "solidity" that she imbues. The downstairs accommodation is ideal for long term cruising, enhanced by the comfortable aft cabin.
This Macwester Seaforth 36 has obviously been subject to caring ownership and her extensive inventory includes a Raymarine Axiom chart plotter, AIS, solar panel charging, Eberspacher heating and much more.

Owner's Comments
Halcyon Grace has been a member of the family for 23 years. She is comfortable with great accommodation for living aboard during the summer months. The wheelhouse and cockpit cover mean we were very often navigating in shorts and t-shirts while other yacht crews were hiding from the wind and rain behind the dodger in full heavy weather gear.
The shallow draft enables her to take the ground with ease. Exploring the estuaries, coves and small ports of the UK and abroad is therefore a delight without the concerns associated with full keeled yachts. For family holidays you can anchor her close to the beach or if conditions and tide permit, on the beach. When a deep depression is heading our way, Halcyon Grace would look after us anchored in a shallow wooded estuary rather than the usual choice of an expensive marina. Last summer I cruised the South coast for two months, I didn’t go into a marina once, windy and wet July and August it was too.
We have used her extensively though the UK sailing season. She has sailed the French inland waterways from the North coast through Paris and then down the Saine to the Med and from Veslinger (Flushing) to Amsterdam on the Dutch canals, mast up route.
She knows her own way into most of he ports of The Solent and the SouthWest including the Isle of Scilly and as also crossed the channel on numerous occasions to visit the stunning ports of the Channel Islands, Normandy and Brittany.
Halcyon Grace is a fantastic coastal family cruising boat, solid and powerful that has been used extensively every season and we hope will continues to be so.
