MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:
The Latini Cat 43’ is a hi-tech project for a really innovative catamaran. The construction in composite materials guarantees a structure that is extremely lightweight and at the same time very stiff. The narrow water line (11.5 to 1 ratio for waterline length to width) and ample volume of the hulls offer excellent sailing characteristics. At the same time a larger than usual internal beam of the hulls guarantees comfort for the living quarters. A deep centerboard and rudders provide high level performance when sailing windward.
Internal space and living areas have been optimized through ergonomic studies to provide comfortable cruising for 8 people.
This catamaran aims at providing maximum comfort and safety. The project gives precedence to finding the right balance between sail surface and stability for the best performance, within a context of
maximum safety and comfort. Both rudders and centerboards can be raised to significantly reduce the draught to just 50cms when anchoring near shore.
The interiors are divided into two different areas. the ‘night zone’ can accommodate up to 8 people symmetrically positioned in the 2 hulls, each comprising an aft cabin, central bathroom, wide corridor with wardrobes and a forward cabin. both cabins have a large open area with wall-side wardrobes. the width of the hull at the maximum beam allows to locate the bathroom lengthwise alongside the corridor. the casing for the centerboard is located within the partition between these two zones. three steps lead to the living area, which is composed of a crosswise galley, a large table (with the option of lowering this to create another 2 sleeping berths) and by an area dedicated to navigation and storage of technical equipment.
