Construction
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”
Hull Construction:
- Composite construction with end grain balsa core providing strength, thermal insulation and acoustic insulation.
- Layer of Kevlar adding to the hull strength.
- Non-pigmented gel is used below the waterline to help prevent osmosis.
- Vinylester resins are used throughout for added strength and osmosis prevention.
- 3 x Layers of epoxy as a barrier against moisture ingress.
- Hull moulding in ‘flag blue’.
- Three water tight bulkheads providing sealed buoyancy.
- Stainless steel rubbing rail on gunwale.
- Hull moulding in Flag Blue with white boot top tripe with red stripe above. Coachline above portlights gelled in white.
- Hull antifouling in SPL2 Seaforce 90 Jotun Dark Red.
- Stainless steel stem fitting to below waterline, top cut below inner check attachment on stem head for protection against ice.
Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Composite construction with end grain balsa core providing strength, thermal insulation and acoustic insulation.
- Marine ply, stainless steel or alloy is used in all load bearing areas for added strength.
- White gel coat with optional black mullions.
- Teak capping rail and decks.
- Joined to the hull with epoxy paste and stainless bolts for security.
- All bulkheads are laminated into the deck for strength and stiffness.
- Deck saloon window mullions in black.
Keel & Rudder:
- 9,500kg (20,500lb) shaped lead keel and a depth of 7’3” (2.23m) provides a ballast ratio of 42% providing maximum stability. Bearings serviced 2018.
- Semi balanced large Kevlar reinforced rudder.
- Hull moulding in Flag Blue with white boot top tripe with red stripe above. Coachline above portlights gelled in white.
Machinery
Engine & Gearboxes:
- Yanmar 4LHA-HTP 160hp diesel engine with gearbox ratio of 2.68:1.
- Twin Racor fuel filters fitted in engine room, including 4 spare filters.
Maintenance & Performance:
- Maintained in accordance with the Manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Engine Hours: approx. 2745 @ October 2023.
Propulsion & Steering:
- Bow thruster – Maxpower 125 composite. New dedicated batteries (2020).
- Rope cutter/stripper.
- Stainless morse control.
- Pedestal modified for fitment of C90.
Electrical Systems
Voltage Systems:
- Additional double 220V sockets at saloon table pedestal.

- Seagull filtered drinking water tap mounted to left of sink.
Heads/Showers:
- Tecma electric head aft (2020)
- Tecma electric head forward.
- Thermostatically controlled showers in separate cubicles both fore and aft.
- Bosch washer/dryer located in aft heads.
Heating & Ventilation:
- Eberspächer 24v Hydronic 10 diesel/hotwater heating system.

Saloon & Pilot Berth:
- Concealed Sky screens (shade/mosquito) to saloon coach roof hatches.
- Saloon armrest made in cherry wood
- Saloon table fiddle rail around non-seated edge.
- Starboard side unit behind chairs incorporates chart stowage.
- Locker door to chart table unit forward outboard side for extra storage. Shelf placed at conduit level.
