Marketing Description
This Ballistic 550 is still with its first owner, and has benefitted from light use since purchase. With the Ballistic reputation for sturdy build with a polished finish powered by an Evinrude 90HP this is a great package for getting on the water with a minimum of fuss. Complete with an Indispension single axle roller trailer and dry stored in a cow shed in recent years this a Rib well worth a look.
Construction
The core feature of the innovative Ballistic design is its unique three-part structure, which comprises individual hull, internal ladder chassis and deck mouldings. These three mouldings are bonded together with Lloyds-approved high quality resins and notably, there is no wooden panelling under the deck that can rot.
The hull is constructed in GRP and the inflatable tubes are PVC/Hypalon

Owners Comments
I bought the 2010 build rib as an ex-demonstrator in June 2011. My children were 8 & 9 when I bought it (and now 20 & 21), so we had many years of happy family use with ringos, water-skis & wake-boards; as well as trips to the Isle of Wight from Poole.
During the summer season it was stored on its trailer in the RMYC boat park and launched by tractor. During the winter, it was stored undercover in a Wareham farmer’s converted cow sheds.
The polished finish hull remains as it's never been anti-fouled, as never moored afloat apart from an occasional overnight.
