Luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats adds to its world-renowned Targa range with the introduction of the magnificent Targa 58 GRAN TURISMO, a spacious three cabin, three en-suite express cruiser with an optional fourth/crew cabin and en-suite. A truly forward-thinking design with light and space at its core, the Targa 58 GRAN TURISMO encompasses key design trends and technological features to offer bright, open and light-filled accommodation.
The enclosed single level living and galley space can be transformed at the touch of a button as the roof glides open, the panoramic 3m side windows retract and the patio doors disappear. The resultant open-air space allows guests to enjoy the freedom of fresh air from the galley to the transom, a feature unique on a boat of this size and price range.
By contrast, when a closed space is required to shield from rain or sun, the cockpit features a powered aft sunshade.
Below deck, the Targa 58 GRAN TURISMO features an equally unique cabin layout which places the master cabin and cleverly designed spacious en-suite forward. This provides expansive full-width accommodation and with only the foredeck above, natural daylight floods through overhead glazing which further adds to the feeling of spaciousness.
If specified, the fourth cabin which can be used for guests or crew features overhead glazing to create a well-lit accommodation space with an en-suite as required. The ability to include a fourth cabin is rare on an express cruiser of this size and is testament to Fairline’s design team and their determination to utilise space to its optimum. Alternatively the area can be utilised as a voluminous lazarette.
The world debut of the Fairline Targa 58 GRAN TURISMO will be the London International Boat Show (Friday 8th – Sunday 17th January 2010) and the first mainland Europe show will be Dusseldorf in Germany, (Saturday 23rd – Sunday 31st January). The appeal of this iconic express cruiser is such that despite the tough economic climate, retail orders have already been secured and the first two Show boats will be exported to the Mediterranean in time for Easter.
Other significant features will include:
- Innovative, concealed mechanised tender launch for Williams 385 Jet RIB to provide safe, clean and open transom.
- Powered bathing and boarding stairway for easy and safe operation.
- Powered aft sunshade option.
- Double and twin guest cabins, both featuring 6’6 beds and en-suites.
- Utility area for 2 optional appliances.
More extensive details of the Targa 58 GRAN TURISMO will be available at Cannes International Boat & Yacht Show in France, Wednesday 9th – Monday 14th September, the PSP Southampton Boat Show, Friday 11th to Sunday 20th September 2009, or via authorised Fairline dealers throughout the world.
