The Westerly Regatta was a modernised version of the Westerly Merlin, with a sugar scoop transom fractional rig and much uprated and redesigned interior woodwork and layout. This example is presented in a ready to go condition with the benefits of plenty of upgrades in the recent years including new standing rigging & running rigging in 2023, new stainless steel fuel tank in 2024, and new mainsail in 2024.

Located under companionway. 1993 Volvo Penta MD2020 marine diesel engine. 19hp. Fresh water cooled. Saildrive to fixed blade propeller. Single lever engine control. Engine fully serviced in Autumn 2023. The saildrive diaphragm changed in 2019. New 81 litre stainless fuel tank in 2024.
12 volt domestic battery (2018). 12 volt engine start battery (2018). 240 volt shore power system with outlets. Alternator charging, Battery Charger. Immersion heater. LED lighting throughout.

Construction, Mast & Rigging
Built by Westerly Yacht Construction in 1993. White grp hull with style stripes and teak rubbing strakes. White grp coachroof with moulded and painted non skid decks (repainted 2023). Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering to balanced rudder. Self draining cockpit. Sugar scoop transom. Last survey in 2024 - copy available.
Fractional Bermudan sloop rig. Silver anodised aluminium mast and boom by Kemp Masts, 1993. Stainless steel standing rigging (2023). Backstay tensioner. Terylene running rigging (2023). Two Lewmar 30 self tailing primary winches. Two Lewmar 7 coachroof control line winches. Slab reefing to mainsail with stack pack and lazyjacks. Rotostay headsail furling system (serviced 2023). Mainsheet traveller.
