Deck Equipment

Rig:

  • Ketch rig and original John Powell, silver anodised, double spreader main mast. The masts were re-built in 1998 by Roger Plumb who had worked for John Powell and had built the masts originally. We redesigned winch layout and all leads for shorthanded use with all halyards and reef lines leading forward to a powered Andersen winch. The winches on the masts were relocated, pads added and Goiot jammers positioned where necessary. Any corrosion was taken care of and doublers put inside the masts where required. Tracks were fitted to both masts for Frederiksen cars and the fully battened main and mizzen drop easily into lazyjacks. Setting sail, taking a reef and shaking out a reef is simplicity itself and a one person operation.
  • Two spinnaker poles, also John Powell, one has a rotating jaw.
  • Main boom by John Powell with Reckmann hydraulic vang 2016.
  • All standing rigging replaced in 2016 by Advanced Rigging, Hamble. Including all screws and toggles.
