I promised my family that I would retire from sailing by the age of 80. I turned 80 earlier this year, so she's now up for sale.
According to her last survey report in May 2022 "Spray has benefitted from good initial build quality and what would appear to be lightly used and considerate ownership. She is a good example of her class."
This survey report can be made available to serious potential buyers. Her upholstery and internal woodwork are in very good condition. She was antifouled and new anode installed in April 2024.
I have sailed mostly single-handed along the south coasts of Devon and Cornwall. She is cheap to moor because of her length but her length doesn't affect her performance. She's faster than my previous Bavaria 31.
She's currently on a very economical (£3,560 per annum) pontoon berth right in Millbay Marina next to Plymouth Sound and the berth is paid for up to 31.03.2025.
Her current berth could be transferred to the new owner for a small consideration.
Although she is being advertised privately her conveyancing will be carried out by a well-respected Plymouth yacht broker. The 4-man canister life raft and cradle shown in the photos are not included in the advertised price. Both are 2 years old and could be included in the sale for an additional £450.
