Mechanical
The vessel is powered by an extremely reliable and frugal Bukh DV36ME inboard diesel engine. This low revving, 3-cylinder workhorse will cruise all day at 6 knots. This will give a range of 330 miles between fill ups which offers excellent economy. She has a displacement hull so speed is not what she is about. If you are looking for a safe reliable boat that can take the weather, then look no further.
The engine was installed in 1991 and has completed 656 serviced hours. Most recent in February 2024. She has had a new raw water strainer fitted and a new exhaust elbow. Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft with a 3-bladed bronze propeller.
Bank of 4X12V batteries fitted with a rotary style selector. These provide dedicated engine start and domestic power. The batteries are recharged via the engine alternator, onboard battery charger or the solar panel. 12V switch panel in wheelhouse adjacent to helm.
Fuel is stored in a 50 gallon capacity, stainless steel tank. This was installed at the same time as the engine. There is a site gauge and an additional dip stick to measure fuel level.

Accommodation
Great boat which can be used as a family day boat/weekender or as a holiday boat for a cruising couple who want to spend extended periods exploring our beautiful coastline in safety and comfort.
The wheelhouse is entered from the cockpit via a lockable, half glazed timber door. Full standing headroom. The interior is bright and welcoming thanks to a combination of light and dark wood and attractive navy upholstery.
To port is the small yet functional galley which features a gas fuelled Plastimo oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Preparation work top with circular stainless steel sink with pressurised cold fresh water. Below the sink is a series of drawers and storage cupboards with lots of clever storage for utensils, cutlery and provisions. Beneath the chart table is a front opening 42 litre capacity fridge with ice compartment.
Opposite the galley on the starboard side is the dinette seating area. This is a very pleasant space to while away the hours when in transit or enjoying a meal. This area will convert to a large double by dropping the table and using the rear backrest cushions as an infill. Adjacent to this seating area and on the aft bulkhead is bespoke storage cupboards for crockery, glasses and plates. The internal space has been used so well and only enhance your enjoyment on board.
The helm is in the port side. There is a pedestal mounted seat with backrest folds flat and becomes another handy preparation area/occasional table when in the galley. Wooden spoked wheel with hydraulic steering light to the touch. Engine start panel with rev counter, oil pressure, temperature and charging indicators. Single lever morse control with forward and reverse gearing. 12V panel with switches and electronic navigation aids.
In the bow is the forward sleeping cabin which can be used as two singles or as a double when utilising the infill board and cushion. The starboard berth is slightly longer than the port one and to compensate for this, the interior section of the heads compartment bulkhead folds down creating a trotter box if required. There is a hanging locker and shelved unit for clothing. Forward of the helm is the heads compartment with electric flush marine toilet and a wash hand basin.
All the interior windows in the wheelhouse are fitted with venetian blinds for privacy. The cabins are kept warm and dry thanks to the Eberspacher hot air heating system.

Construction
Extremely well built motor cruiser with heavy lay-up, displacement hull. Underwater profile is a long keel with bilge plates for directional stability. Steel plate rudder with lower prop protection bar attached to rear of keel. Canoe stern with outboard bracket mounting. Heavy duty D-Fender attached to the hull to deck join. Additional fendering runs midships starboard aft to midships port to offer further protection. Hull topsides are smartly painted in navy blue gloss.
White GRP and timber wheelhouse with glazed windscreen and side windows. Stainless steel bow rails and grab rails on wheelhouse roof offer protection moving forward. The cockpit is deep and large with wooden bench style seating port and starboard. Stainless steel protection rails.
The engine is mid mounted and the engine box is topped with solid wood that makes an ideal table or seat. In fact the current owners wife has made this into a decent summer berth by adding a piece of timber that extends aft to the transom.
The cockpit sole is grp finished in grey treadmaster panels which can be removed to give access to the bilge. The transom has a large access panel which the current owner has attached a solar panel to the interior face. This panel will trickle charge the batteries in your absence. The steering is hydraulic as is the drive to the new autopilot. The installation is very neat and was installed professionally in 2019. The cockpit is kept dry by a full cockpit enclosure. The enclosure is fitted with removable or roll up side and rear panels. The top can stay in situation when travelling. This gives you another living space and is ideal to sit out in and watch the world go by.
- Hull antifouled in 2022
- Hydraulic steering replaced 2019
- Forward and rear anchors with foot controls
- Full cockpit enclosure
- Solar panel
