This is a prototype/demo boat, and more can be made. With this LystHouseBoat, new standards are set in terms of comfort, innovative design and the sailing and application possibilities that this craft offers. The LystHouseBoat can sail continuously only using solar energy without draining the batteries. Propulsion of the LystHouseBoat takes place via two powerful and very quiet electric motors which can take you safely and climate-friendly around the world. Catamaran hulls of pontoons are made of recycled PE plastic.
The LystHouseBoat has been tested and approved for sailing according to the EU's CE marking of a vessel/yacht with construction category C, which means that it is approved for max 13 m/s wind and 2 meter waves and is anti-sinking with foam-filled pontoons. The LystHouseBoat is a new type of yacht, combined with gazebo and houseboat with a myriad of application possibilities. It contains all the necessary comfort and navigation equipment, including a complete kitchen with sink, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, bath and toilet, washing machine, living room in the bow and double bed in the stern, as well as two terraces and, not least, a large cockpit/lounge on top of the LystHouseBoat with an amazing view.
Only the imagination sets limits to the use of the LystHouseBoat. It is perfect for staying for longer periods, both in the harbor and on the water. You can sail through Europe to the Mediterranean via the canals for one half of the year, and for the other half of the year, you can park it with or without pontoons on land as a luxury annex.
The LystHouseBoat gives you the opportunity to move for several weeks on the water and still be supplied with water, heat and electricity. With the LystHouseBoat, you can easily manage your climate footprint. You can read your daily consumption of water, electricity, heat, waste and toilet visits, as the LystHouseBoat contains all modern maritime equipment.
LystHouseBoat technique
- 2 x 500 L insulated fresh water tank
- 500 L insulated holding/wastewater tank
- 50 L hot water tank
- Electric heat from batteries, as a heat source
- Bathroom with freshwater flushed toilet, sink and shower cubicle
- Kitchen with sink, fridge/freezer, oven and hob
- 10 m2 of the latest solar cells, large battery bank and inverter that supplies 12 v, 24 v, 48 v and 230 v
- Low-noise and isolated emergency generator for extreme power consumption or for the solar cells when there are only a few hours of sunshine
- Propulsion via two powerful and very quiet 6 Kw (HP = 2 x 12) electrical engines. Controlled via simple remote control
- Can sail continuous cruise speed of approx. 3-4 knots in full sun, without draining the batteries
- Interior fitting is done with solid CLT wooden elements. One of the many advantages of solid wood elements is that it can absorb and release moisture in the same circadian rhythm as us humans. and thus it provides a healthy indoor climate.
- Allergy-friendly.
- Low-energy double glazing and doors have wood inside and aluminum outside, for easy maintenance.
- Highly insulated sandwich sheets of PIR and plastisol coated steel sheets as floor/deck and roof.
- Outer deck, ladder and railing, made of solid oak.
- Buoyancy of non-sinking plastic pontoons, designed like a catamaran and without the need for toxic bottom paint.
When purchasing the LystHouseBoat, the designer of the boat will provide you with a full day of instruction in sailing and maintenance. The stated price is for a completely ready-to-sail LystHouseBoat, but it can be delivered custom-made according to the buyer's wishes.
