The Aquastar 38 Aft Cockpit is an excellent all weather cruiser with superb sea-keeping ability, which has been put to the test. Moon Boom has twin Volvo Penta 41B, 200hp engine with approximately 1200 hours. She has been well maintained upgraded in her current ownership.

Accommodation
Offering up to 6 berths with full standing head room throughout. Up forward is a V berth with stowage underneath. Eye level shelves and hanging locker. The separate heads compartment is to starboard comprising of a marine toilet with a 70 litre holding tank. Basin, mirror and shower. Hot and cold pressurised water supply.
Moving aft you have the dinette to port with forward and aft facing seating. The table drops down to make a double berth. Opposite to starboard is the U shaped galley with a Plastimo 200 gas cooker with a oven & grill. Single stainless steel sink with pressurised hot & cold water supply. Front opening fridge (new 2022). Microwave. Ample storage around the galley.
Moving up into the wheelhouse you have the single helm seat to starboard with engine controls and instruments. Navigation equipment and electrical distribution panel. Opposite to port you have a forward facing navigators seat. There is large L shaped settee in the port quarter which converts down into another double berth. Eberspacher diesel fired cabin heating. Blue upholstery throughout. Carpets and curtains.
Mechanical Systems
Located under the wheelhouse sole, are the twin Volvo Penta TAMD-41B 6 cylinder, 200 hp, turbo charged diesel engines. Shaft drive to four bladed bronze propellers. Racor fuel filters Approximately 1200 litre fuel capacity in two stainless steel tanks. Single lever controls. Stern & bow thrusters (2016/2017). Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Approximately 1200 hours on both engines. Trim tabs. Both engines had an overhaul in 2022 which included new injectors. New engine mounts and shaft seals in 2022.
Fisher Panda diesel generator fitted new in 2016 with approximately 10 hours run.

Built by Aquastar Ltd in 1990 to their own design. Light cream GRP hull with blue style stripes. Semi-displacement hull with a long keel. White GRP superstructure. Hydraulic wheel steering. Synthetic teak ring decks and aft cockpit (new 2020). Self draining cockpit. Last surveyed in 2016 with all recommendations carried out.
